Poetry Competition - Football Premier League

The Football Premier League needs our help!

They have launched a poetry competition based on the theme of resilience and are asking for children aged 5-11 to write their own poems titled Try, Try Again.

Your poems can be written in any style (Rhyme, Acrostic, Haiku etc.) they just need to be about trying and not giving up! Have a look at the video below for inspiration from some of your favourite players.

This is a national competitions so prizes will be awarded by the Football Premier League which include:
- A visit to our school by an author along with the Premier League trophy
- Your poem published in a poetry book and read aloud by a Premier League star.

The closing date for the competition is Friday 8th December.

Please hand your entries to Mrs Hebblewhite – make sure your entry has your full name, age and class name written on them.

I can’t wait to read your entries!
